MINUTES OF THE STAFFING COMMITTEE MEETING HELD 

ON 28 JANUARY 2025

IN THE COULBY ROOM CLAYPOLE VILLAGE HALL CLAYPOLE 

AT 6.30PM

Meeting began at 6.45 pm
 
SC25/01 Welcome by Chair
 
SC25/02 Receive apologies and resolve to accept reasons for absence.
 
SC25/03 To receive declarations of interest in items on the agenda in
accordance with the requirement of the Localism Act 2011 and to 
consider any applications for dispensations regarding DPI’s.
None received
 
SC25/04 The Staffing Committee resolved to accept the minutes of the meeting held on 9 November 2024 as a true record.

SC25/05 The Staffing committee resolved to exclude public and press under the Public Bodies (admissions to meetings) act 1960 1 (2)

SC25/06 Staff appraisal carried out on 14 January 2025 was discussed.
 
SC25/07 The Staffing Committee agreed recommendations to Parish Council
detailed as follows:
1. Staffing committee recommend the probationary period for Clerk ended on on 1st May 2024

2. Staffing committee recommend the pay increment applicable from 1 April 2025 outlined in point 9 of employment contract

3. Cllrs to follow the CPC standing orders regarding meetings and discussions
4. Cllrs to complete agreed actions on time
5. The Clerk to review and recommend up-dates to the CPC code of conduct – template from SKDC
6. Cllrs to comply with the communication agreements outlined in minutes of Staffing Committee meeting on 9th Nov 24
7. Clerk to attend training on up-dating website which was postponed
8. Identify level of HR training within staffing committee
9. Cllr Merrin to arrange first meeting of action plan working group.
10. In addition to point 7 above, it was suggested that another councillor should also attend the website training with Clerk so that we have cover for updating the website if Clerk is away
